Inside the movement, a precisely tuned repetition system of hammer and gong is at work. At the full hour, the mechanism is triggered automatically, producing a single, clearly defined chime that audibly marks the passage of time.
The sound of the HREPET is intentionally restrained: clear, controlled, and free from intrusion. The specially engineered gong generates a short, harmonious resonance. The hammer strikes with precisely calibrated energy to ensure consistent tonal quality. The result is a refined, reduced sound—an acoustic detail for connoisseurs.
For maximum everyday usability, the watch features a separate pusher at 4 o’clock, allowing the repetition chime to be completely deactivated. This function decouples the striking mechanism from the going train without affecting timekeeping precision. As a result, the watch remains perfectly silent in quiet environments or at night.
