Autran & Viala Watches

Karl Ickler founded the family business in Pforzheim in 1924 having previously worked as the Head of Production at another watch making company. During the war, production ceased, but Karl's two sons began rebuilding the company in 1947.

Today the company is managed by the third generation Thomas Ickler designing and building watches of the highest quality.

Ickler began making private label watches in 1990 but wanting to harness their extensive manufacturing experience and their own creative potential they soon created their own brand LIMES. In 2003 the first Archimede Pilot's watches were launched.

After careful planning, the first Autran & Viala collection was introduced in 2009 named after the founders of the original watch industry in Pforzheim over 240 years ago.
